How I gothere
It wasn't a straight line — and that's kind of the point.
I didn’t come from money. I didn’t have a trust fund or a family business to fall into. What I had was curiosity, a W-2 job in mortgage lending, and the nagging feeling that there had to be more than just helping other people buy homes — I wanted to own them too.
So Frank and I bought our first investment property. Then another. Then we started designing them ourselves because we couldn’t afford to hire anyone — and it turned out I was good at it. Really good at it. The kind of good where guests started leaving reviews about the design before they mentioned anything else.
Now we own and self-manage a growing portfolio of short-term, mid-term, and long-term rentals across multiple states. I still work as a mortgage loan officer at CrossCountry Mortgage — because I love helping investors navigate financing — but I’ve also built a business around everything I’ve learned along the way.

The Beginning: Started in mortgage lending
